Eight Months

Man, it's been a long time since I've posted anything on this little ole' blog! I can't believe how quickly time has passed. I feel like it was just last week I posted something . . . and the dates do not deceive. So, I have many, many things to post and I am going to work on being more consistent with that. My family deserves to have updates and this is a little like our family journal {and my rambling place} so I need to be better.

But first things first.

Just the cutest little girl this side of the universe.

Livie is eight months old! {Well, actually, she's been eight months for a couple weeks now, which Dan has so politely pointed out to me means she is actually eight and a half months old. But humor me for a second. Okay?}

Eight Months Old
28 inches long {approx.}
She is growing and changing so fast!!

Livie loves her solid foods and eats them like a champ. As of her official eighth month birthday, she still wasn't loving her bottle as much. We have made some recent discoveries that make feeding so much easier but that's a post for another day. This post is about eight months, after all!
She really loves her uncle Justin
She still thinks sweet potatoes are the best thing ever made and she's really taking a liking to baby puffs. You know those awesome things that disolve at the slightest indication of moisture, including sweaty little hands. Yeah, those. She loves them. And let me tell ya, she's getting quick at putting them in her mouth, too! One thing that kind of cracks me up, though, is that she'll pick it up usually using her middle finger and thumb and then use both hands to guide it up to her mouth. It's really cute. :)
She's recently decided that being on all fours isn't good enough any more. To make up for her lack of view she's chosen to pull herself up onto anything that appears higher than her head. This includes, but is not limited to, the food pantry shelves, the couch, the end tables, our pant legs and my skirts. She has not yet proven to be successful when using my skirt for a balancing mechanism to keep her up on her feet but she is not a quitter! She'll keep going at any cost!
She loves, loves, loves other babies. She will squeal with delight every time she sees one. However, she seems to mostly adore babies that are older than she is. She doesn't really care about 'em if they are too tiny. But her adoration of other children is especially exciting for her when those other children sit behind our bench at church. That's her favorite way to pass the time in sacrament meeting.
Livie loves to read books. She loves electronics of all kinds. If I'm on the computer, she will crawl very quickly and excitedly to me and expect to be held so that she can type right along with me. Like right now. She also loves to pound on my piano and listen to me sing. It is good she loves music so I can teach and she loves it. The pounding the piano part makes it hard when, again, she thinks she needs to be held and play right alond with me. But since everyone loves babies, we always make it through okay. She likes this stupid annoying random singing time little kids' movie we have and will stare at the screen for a full 10 minutes before getting bored. That ten minutes can really be fantastic.

She is ever adorable and we love her with all our hearts. We couldn't be more happy that she is a part of our lives.
